Have you watched them yet?

(1) Supermen of Malegaon:

One word for this documentary.AWESOME.I knew this movie existed but never saw it thinking it would have the same stereotypical documentary approach.Surprise was in store for me. It has a rather uncanny take on the process of movie-making reflecting the simplicity of small town dreams and ambitions.Do watch.

(2)  Fire in Babylon:

It has become all the more relevant after West Indies team's T20 World Cup win. What united a number of tiny islands, otherwise immersed in a care-free life of their own,  to rise-up and take what was 'their' due?

It is a rare documentary showing the "fall and rise" of the WI cricket team of the 70's. Perfectly synchronized with interviews of those who actually did it. A visual treat not only for the admirers of the game but also for those who believe in the indomitable spirit of human being. The rise of the team is juxtaposed with the pride of a community which had been deprived of what was rightfully their for centuries. They are thriving, Bob Marley and Sir Viv Richards, at the same time. You just can not miss this one.
